1880:The Cross gates was the property of John Swinglehurst, of Park Hill, Barrowford, then descended to: John Holt of Park Hill.

Deeds relating to Clough Farm, Barrowford (this was on Pendle Street) – schedule of estate includes the copyhold messuage (the public house) known as the  Cross Gates at 2acres 1rod 37perches.
