Born and bred in Barrowford, John Clayton has always taken a keen interest in history; to this end he has qualified in Local History at Oxford University and is currently studying for an archaeology degree.
  Over the course of many years he has gathered information from original documentary sources and from exploring the landscape of his area - much of this information will be published in the History Archives. This is  an ongoing  project and  the  archives  will  be  regularly  updated.
